Carpenter Arrested for Allegedly Murdering and Chopping Up Woman's Body in Budgam
In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old carpenter has been arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir police for allegedly murdering a 30-year-old woman and chopping up her body before dumping the pieces at different locations in Budgam.
The victim had been missing from her home in the Soibugh area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district for the past four days. Her brother had lodged an application at the Police Post Soibug, stating that his sister had left for coaching classes on March 07 but had not returned home.
Upon investigation, the police identified the accused as Shabir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Mohanpora Ompora. During questioning, Wani reportedly confessed to the crime and revealed that he had chopped off the victim's head, sliced her body into pieces and disposed of them at different locations, including Railway bridge Ompora and Sebden.
