In a shocking incident, a 45-year-old carpenter has been arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir police for allegedly murdering a 30-year-old woman and chopping up her body before dumping the pieces at different locations in Budgam.

The victim had been missing from her home in the Soibugh area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district for the past four days. Her brother had lodged an application at the Police Post Soibug, stating that his sister had left for coaching classes on March 07 but had not returned home.

Upon investigation, the police identified the accused as Shabir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Mohanpora Ompora. During questioning, Wani reportedly confessed to the crime and revealed that he had chopped off the victim's head, sliced her body into pieces and disposed of them at different locations, including Railway bridge Ompora and Sebden.

The police recovered all the body parts from the different locations, confirming that the accused had indeed committed the heinous crime. The investigation into the case is still ongoing.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, with many expressing their outrage and concern over the safety of women in the area. The police have assured the public that they are taking all necessary steps to ensure justice is served in this case.
