Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to present 2023-24 budget for Jammu and Kashmir

 Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to present the budget for the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the Lok Sabha today, 13th March 2023. The budget for the financial year 2023-24 is expected to bring much-needed relief and growth opportunities for the region.


In addition to this, the finance minister will also present the second batch of the supplementary demands for grants for the ongoing financial year 2022-23, along with the supplementary demands for grants for Jammu and Kashmir for the same year.

The second part of the budget session, which was on a month-long break, is set to resume from today. During this session, the government is keen to get the Union budget passed by the parliament, which will continue till 6th April 2023.

The budget for Jammu and Kashmir is expected to focus on the development of the region, creating employment opportunities, boosting tourism, and strengthening infrastructure.
